General information:
Graduated from the Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute, specializing in "Teacher of Geography and Biology". In 1976-1979, she studied in graduate school at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). 1980 - defended her candidate's dissertation on the topic: "Formation of a territorial system for satisfying the recreational needs of the population (on the example of Stavropol Krai)" at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences. 1980-2005 - assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor at the Department of Physical Geography, then at the Department of Economic, Social and Political Geography. From 1996 to 2012 - Dean of the Faculty of Geography. Since 2013 - Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Geography, Geoinformatics and Tourism.
In 2005, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Geography of Lifestyle: Theory and Practice of Regional Research" at Moscow State University. Since 2006 – Professor at the Department of Economic, Social and Political Geography.
Co-director of the scientific school "Transformation of reproduction, settlement and lifestyle of the population", head of postgraduate studies in the specialty 24.00.25. Economic, social, political and recreational geography. Supervised 4 candidates of science, is the scientific supervisor of 3 postgraduate students. Head of the master's program in the direction 05.04.03 - Cartography and geoinformatics "Computer, aerospace and telecommunication technologies of geographical mapping and modeling".
Member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Science. Innovations. Technologies", member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Association of Russian Geographers-Social Scientists".
Honorary worker of higher professional education of the Russian Federation. Honored professor of the North Caucasus Federal University.
